Our principal at Carlisle is Denise Gosney
Denise trained in Scotland as a child and then continued her training at the Brian Rogers College in London.
Prior to establishing Razzamataz Theatre Schools in 2000, Denise had been a professional dancer, choreographer and gymnast for over 10 years, performing around the world on cruise ships, in pantomimes, summer seasons, European and UK tours, the Millennium Dome and the London Palladium.
Denise has choreographed many professional shows, ranging from Rock ‘n’ Roll, Motown and West End to Cabaret and Funky Pop Tributes and has received a prestigious Choreography award, presented by Wayne Sleep in London. She also has television credits, including Take the High Road, Emmerdale and a stunt double for Harry and the Wrinklies. Denise has worked with celebrities (that will be more familiar to parents than kids!) such as Cannon & Ball, Keith Harris & Orville, Roy Chubby Brown, cast of Only Fools & Horses....to name but a few!
In 2002, Denise was runner up in the Prince’s Trust Young Business Person of the Year Awards. As well as teaching in the UK, she has taught gymnastics and dance in Canada.
Always updating ideas and choreography, Denise regularly attends workshops in London at Pineapple and Dance Works. Denise is also a qualified fitness instructor, and is part of the Urban Funk Crew!.
In 2007 Denise won Business Woman of the Year, just a few weeks after giving birth to her first boy, Callum! 2007 was a busy year for Denise as this was also the year she appeared on BBC TV's Dragons' Den and entered into a partnership with Duncan Bannatyne and has never looked back!
More recently Denise was proud to take home 'Business Woman of the Year 2009'.
Just to say that all the childrens and teachers hard work really showed.
The show was brilliant and the children clearly enjoyed it. WELL DONE!

Razz Minis, for ages 4-5, Saturdays 9-10am
Main session for Junior and Intermediate students, Saturdays 10am - 1pm
Second session for Junior, Intermediate & Senior students, Saturdays 1.15 - 4.15pm
Term dates:
Spring Term: Saturday 9th January - 27th March (off Saturday 13th Feb)
SPECIAL EVENTS!:
Preparing for Her Majestys Performance, London, November 2010! A fundraiser performance will be held in Carlisle in May 2010 for all of the students, our Annual Awards will be announced here.
