Our principal in Newton Abbot is Sheena Strachan.
Sheena grew up in Bristol where she took ballet, piano and singing lessons and was a chorus member of various musical theatre groups.
She began her training at Dartington College of Arts, following a course in music, dance and drama before moving to Trinity College of Music, London. On graduation, she did a post-graduate diploma at the University of Reading School of Education.
She began teaching music and drama in West Sussex and eventually moved back to the South West to raise a family and became Director of Music at two schools in South Devon.
During this time she directed a wide range of musical productions with children of all ages and adults. These included, Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, The Beggars Opera, The Pirates of Penzance (Broadway version), Oh! What a Lovely War and Dido and Aeneas and she also enjoys creating music for devised theatre. Her experience also includes tutoring children of all ages in music and singing examinations.
She performs regularly as a piano accompanist both with professional singers and local amateur theatre groups across the South West of England and continues to teach the piano and singing. She firmly believes that the skills that children gain within the performing arts give them the confidence, self-esteem and range of experiences to help them become assured and articulate adults. Razzamataz Schools offer an environment where children can acquire these skills whilst having fun, keeping fit and experiencing the thrill of performance.
Sheena is proud to be the new Principal of Razzamataz Newton Abbot.
Her daughter Anna is Principal of Razzamataz Theatre Schools in Exeter and Cullompton.

Times of classes: Minis- 9am -10am
Juniors: 10.15am - 12.40pm Inters/ Seniors: 10am- 1.pm

Saturday April 17th - Saturday July 10th (no classes on Saturday May 29th)
