Razzamataz Newton Abbot!
Our principal at Newton Abbot is Sara Roche.
Sara’s professional career began in her hometown of Birmingham at the King’s Theatre Restaurant as a resident dancer. This was followed by a succession of summer seasons in places like Jersey, and Minehead and Bognor Regis for the Rank Organisation. Soon after, Lionel Blair asked Sara to become his head girl in pantomimes across the country working alongside such stars as Britt Eckland, Wendy Richards and Una Stubbs. Sara has choreographed a wide selection of shows including summer seasons, youth theatres and dance groups, along with teaching dance to both young and old.
She has most recently finished working as a production/venue co-ordinator at Butlins, Minehead in Somerset. This was a most challenging role having to produce/choreograph and direct various in-house production shows; managing a team of cast members, plus technical staff; liaising with external "acts" and most importantly, ensuring that all the entertainment ran smoothly and within the allocated budget!!!
Sara is also closely involved with Newton Abbot Operatic Society and has spent the past 5 years choreographing/directing for the society.
She is thrilled to be bringing Razzamataz to Newton Abbot and feels every town would benefit from this!
