Razzamataz - Thomson and First Choice
Stage Academies
Razzamataz have teamed up with Thomson and First Choice Holidays and are bringing their own special brand of Razzamataz to make your holiday even better!
Budding performers from the ages of 5 to 16 can take the centre stage with singing, dancing and acting lessons. Running from 21st July to 31st August, lessons are held over a 3 day period for three 2-hour sessions, price dependant on time and location of booking. At the end of each week academy students will get to tread the boards and perform to guests on the main hotel stage.
Each child receives a free Razzamataz t-shirt when booking and a certificate of merit at the end of their course. The summer programme for 2009 will include 'Summer School Musical', 'Commercial Pop & Hip-Hop', as well as classics such as 'Grease' and 'Into the Hoodz!' - the first hip-hop musical to reach the West End! All our teachers hold a qualification in performing arts and/or have a professional background in the Arts, they are all CRB checked and hold a current First Aid certificate.

Can you tell me about Razzamataz in the UK? My daughter goes to a leading Stage school in the UK and they rehearse for a show for weeks and what you have done in 3 days is just as good!

My family has just returned from Holiday Village Viva Majorca where my children took part in Razzamataz. What a fantastic time they had. They are both dancers. The teachers, Bowie & Caroline were great with the children. They were both full of enjoy everyday and were always around the resort for anyone to approach with any questions. They worked really hard with all the children and the result was a fantastic presentation. They have installed more confidence in Jess & Sophie which is down to their encouragement.Thanks to Bowie and Caroline for making the girls hol even better and very memorable.

I felt the need to write following our family visit to Presidente Hotel between 29/07/09 to 12/08/09. Having visited this hotel five times (the last being in May of this year), Razzamataz was a new concept to us. However, having watched a prepared show the evening of arrival, our daughter immediately wanted to sign up to the academy, & over the next two weeks performed in three shows. Whilst at home, our daughter has previously had drama classes, & I must say, that what Matt & Laura achieved in producing a show following six hours of training, was incredible. Without doubt, my daughter enjoyed Razzamataz above all else during her holiday, & many parents commented that the shows were better than those highlighted by the hotel. Matt & Laura must take much credit for this, & with Matt focusing on the acting and Laura the singing & dancing, each fully complimented the other. I do hope Thomson continue to support Razzamataz as it was clearly visible the numbers of children enlisting increased with each show production, & as returning guests next year, we would be sorely disappointed if the Stage Academy was not a central feature of the children's entertainment programme. We have two children...and they had a great time, especially the eldest who...took part in the Razamatazz theatre school rehearsals and performances...watching her perform was one of the highlights of our holiday

I felt really proud to be representing Razzamataz, in the resort everyone knew all about it and the comments from parents and children touched us, as we were able to make a difference to their child's holiday and confidence. All parents were really impressed with what Denise has achieved with Razzamataz, and many are going home to keep checking the website to see when one will be opened in their area!
