Our principal at Penrith and Whitehaven is Charlotte Young
Charlotte began dancing at the Robinson Read School of Dance at a young age and went on to train at Performers College under the direction of Brian Rogers and Susan Stephens, during her time at Performers she gained her Associate Teaching Qualifications in both Modern and Tap for the I.S.T.D syllabus as well as her Anatomy and Physiology Diploma.
Charlotte has performed at the “Ria Stadium” in Amsterdam as a dancer for Lionel Ritchie, at the London Palladium for the “Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust”, at the Blackpool Grand Theatre as a dancer for “Babes in the Wood” and performed for the “Stars in Their Eyes” touring live show 2004 to name a few!
Her T.V credits include “Beijing Embraces the World” where she danced in Beijing for the 2008 Olympic bid, “The Brian Conley Show” where she performed with Englebert Humperdinck, C.I.T.V’s Pop Song, Blue Peter and the Nickelodeon Road show as a featured dancer.
She has worked with many celebrities including Shirley Bassey, Barbara Windsor, Russell Watson, Linda Lusardi, Cheryl Baker, Hazell Dean, Martine McCutcheon and Ross Kemp, during her time performing Charlotte performed as a dancer, singing and actor and more recently Charlotte has Choreographed and Produced professional shows incorporating many different styles.
She is always researching new ideas and choreography and attends workshops in London and around the country. Charlotte has taught dance & drama for Razzamataz since 2005 and is principal at Penrith and Whitehaven schools.

Charlotte gets married on the 31st May 2010 which is why some of the term dates may seem different this year, she will return in June as Mrs Young!!
