Our principal at Plymouth is Deborah Bond.
Deborah is a fully qualified dance teacher and holds the highest dance qualification of Fellowship with the ISTD. She is the principal of the Deborah Bond Dance Academies of which there are four schools across the South West. Deborah also owns Dancetogs a dancewear shop in Newton Abbot.
Deborah started dance at the age of 2 ½ and loves all aspects of the theatre. At 16 she went to Laine Theatre Arts one of the most prestigious performing arts colleges in the UK. Here she gained the college diploma and all her teaching certificates as well as the “most promising teacher” award. On leaving college Deborah danced professionally in Europe before settling into teaching and developing her schools which opened in 1993.
Deborah now teaches teachers to become qualified at her approved teacher training centre in Newton Abbot as well as guest teaching for the ISTD.
Deborah is very excited about her new Razzamataz Theatre School and hopes her 20 years of experience running a similar business will help ensure the success and growth of her new venture.
Deborah has two sons Toby and Freddie and is married to tennis coach Russell Bond.
