Razzamataz Isle of Sheppey!
Our principal on the Isle of Sheppey is Mandy Russell.
Mandy has always loved the Performing Arts and attended the Rye Dance Centre as a child, where she took classes in dance, drama and singing. Mandy went on to train at the East Sussex School of Performing Arts where she studied Drama, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Tap and Jazz Dance.
As a student, Mandy performed in many shows and plays. Leading roles included Bernadette in Stags & Hens and Jo in A Taste of Honey. Mandy has also achieved a Bronze Medal in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Before relocating to Kent, Mandy was a member of the Bexhill Light Operatic and Dramatic Society. She also took part in other local productions, including playing Charlotte in Oliver! with AMB Productions, a role she reprised a few years later with the BLODS.
As an adult, Mandy completed a Theatre Studies course with the Rose Bruford College. She has also studied with the Open University, gaining a Certificate in Social Sciences and a Certificate in Health & Social Care. Mandy is currently studying for a Diploma in Drama in Education.
Before having her own little ones, Mandy was a youth leader and worship leader at her local church and at many events across the South East. Mandy is also secretary of the management committee for her local playschool.
Mandy has a Certificate in Basic Life Support and Emergency First Aid.
