Zoo Nation, the choreographers and dancers from the West Ends Smash Hit 'Into the Hoods' held a dance workshop at Razzamataz Carlisle's studio in November.

'Into the Hoods' is the first hip-hop show to make it onto a West End stage and features George Sampson from Britains Got Talent fame!

Over 50 kids attended from Razzamataz Carlisle, Dumfries, Whitehaven, Penrith and Durham schools . They had a fantastic time as dancers for Kelly Rowland, Beyonce, Ludacris, Sugababes, Snoop Dog and Rachel Stevens went through their moves and taught the kids their street dance techniques!

The kids were taught actual choreography from the hit show and parents were invited back for a breath-taking performance at the end of the day!

Our students are so inspired by the workshop, that they are intending to produce an extract from 'Into The Hoods' for the next production to take place at The Sands Centre, Carlisle in June 2009.

Denise Hutton says 'We were delighted to be able to provide such a successful workshop to our Students. It's fantastic to see them so invigorated by the talent and skill of the Zoo Nation dancers'
